About Honey Tree
Honey Tree first opened in 1983 as a small family center. Due to the quality programs and care provided Honey Tree soon expanded. The first expansion came in 1985 to 10 and then to 20 children aged 3-5. Parents found they had no where to take their children once they reached the age of 6 so once again we expanded to fill the need. The age limits were changed allowing children to start at age 2.5 and stay until the age of 12.
In 1989 due to the huge waiting list and the reputation Honey Tree had developed a second location was built. Within a couple of years the out of school and preschool programs were added. After 25 years servicing the community Honey Tree has since down sized to our current Fleetwood location.
Our center appears to be home from the outside and reflects a family environment when you join us inside. Once inside you see the center is bright and decorated to the delight of all children. Children’s art is displayed and you can hear singing and laughter throughout the center .
Qualified Staff
Engaging Students with Profound Experiences
Our team is carefully chosen and are required to take part in three orientation days before they will be considered. Once approved all hired staff are then placed on a three month probation period.
Preschool and daycare supervisors are required to hold a current “Early Childhood Education License to Practice” certificate. Assistants may be currently enrolled in the Early Childhood training. For the older children Honey Tree looks for teachers with background in Early Childhood education or recreation.
Along with certification our staff hold current first aid certificates and have all received criminal record clearance. Honey Tree has dedicated, professional and caring teachers who provide a warm, loving and stable environment for all the children.
